1. Overview & Privacy Commitment

This Privacy Policy governs the app LockStar, developed by Prabhakar Panda ("we", "our", or "us"). LockStar is engineered to provide premium app locking, intruder protection, and vault security while respecting 100% of your personal privacy.

2. On-Device Storage & Encryption

All your data—including encrypted vault files, application lock preferences, security PINs, and local intruder log records—is stored strictly in your device's private internal storage. It never leaves your device under any circumstances.

3. Permissions Used & Justification

To deliver core app lock and security features, LockStar requires specific system permissions, processed strictly on-device:

• Camera Permission: Used exclusively for the optional "Intruder Selfie" feature to capture a photo when an incorrect PIN is entered. Photos remain in private local storage and are never uploaded or shared.
• Biometric Sensor: Used to authenticate app unlock using Android system biometric APIs. Raw biometric data is handled exclusively by the Android OS; LockStar only receives pass/fail status.
• Accessibility Service API: Used to detect when a user launches a locked application to immediately display the security overlay. LockStar does not monitor, log, or record screen text or user interactions.
• Storage / Media Files: Used to encrypt and move user-selected files and media into the secure local vault.

4. Children's Privacy

LockStar is a general audience utility tool. We do not collect or solicit personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
